After the revamp the Acura TL received in 2007, it seemed nothing else could be done. Acura’s popular mid-size luxury sedan returns in 2008 with even more improvements that will make buyers want their very own.

There are five different trims to choose from, including the high performance Type-S. All of these trims get an update in their engine muscle. The base TL holds a 3.2-liter V6 engine as standard; the Type-S trim will obtain a nice 3.5-liter V6 as standard. The transmission is now a five-speed Sequential SportShift automatic, which allows manual gear change. The Type-S model can make use of a high performing six-speed manual transmission with overdrive; quite the kick up in terms of power.

Following the 2008 trend, the Acura TL has upped its safety features for the New Year. Antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, dual-stage frontal airbags and electronic stability are all standard. You could never feel safer when driving a vehicle than this one. A separate Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning lamp was added as well to help keep you informed on vehicle diagnostics.

The insides are looking nice as well. The TL can comfortably seat five, and with dual-zone automatic climate control to heated front seats, you shouldn’t be hearing any complaints. The navigation system has been updated to provide over twice as many regions in its systems. The outsides match the insides and the TL looks as good, if not better than ever. There are new body colors to choose from this year.

Things are continuing to look up for the Acura TL!
